What do both parts of TOGAF contain?



Well this TOGAF certification exam is categorised into two levels based on the difficulty levels as follows:

·         TOGAF 9 Foundation level validates that the candidate has gained knowledge of the terminology along with the basics of TOGAF 9. Moreover, the person well understands all the core principles of Enterprise Architecture as well as TOGAF. 

·         The second one is known as TOGAF 9 Certified level that provides more additional knowledge and comprehension, which is required to work in the enterprise architecture industry. With this complete certification, the candidate is able to analyse and apply knowledge of TOGAF. 

How much score do I need to get qualified in TOGAF (Level 1 and 2)?

TOGAF 9 Foundation (Part 1) – In first level, the aspirant needs to get at least 55% marks which means 22 or more points out of a maximum of 40. 

TOGAF 9 Certified (Part 2) – In the certified level, one needs to score at least 60% marks which means 24 or more points out of a maximum of 40. 

TOGAF 9 Combined (Part 1&2) – for overall marks as per the TOGAF 9 Part 1 and 2 examinations that are described above. Candidates have to pass each section in order to obtain an overall pass mark. In case, they fail any of the sections then no certification is going to be awarded. However, the person needs to retake the examination again corresponding to the failed sections.

What is the exam structure of TOGAF Certification?

There are two exams, one each corresponding to each level of TOGAF certification. The part 1 exam is for TOGAF 9 Foundation level and the part 2 exam is for TOGAF 9 certified level. Therefore, every aspirant needs to clear both the part 1 and part 2 exams to become a certified TOGAF professional. However, both the exams are objective-type and you just need to select the right answer using a radio button on the screen.

The total time you will get to answer the questions for the foundation exam is one hour and it will consist of 40 objective questions that are in multiple choice format. To answer the question, the candidate needs to select only one option from the choices given.

For the certified level exam, the aspirant will get one hour and 30 minutes in which they need to answer 8 questions. Each of these questions will be scenario or situation based and the candidate needs to opt for the best one from all the 4 choices given.
